Search Engine Optimization or SEO is a process of designing, writing and photographing content into a web site for maximum viewing results.  The viewer is not you or me it's the entire population of the world. So be it the title of www equals world wide web.

The Proper Way

Like the movie the Matrix most everyone on the planet except for a select few actually are un aware of the full range of web sites. The awareness comes from building a web site correctly from the first word and the first image.

Webmaster XML Site Map

A webmaster XML Site Map is relatively new and readily available for all web sites. This is a series of exchanges solely between the web creator and Google and Yahoo.

In our case we create a new site map every week and upload it directly to the search engines who include all the pages in it's library. This is not the same as a sitemap on a web site that you and I can see. This is a XML File made just for Google and Yahoo the nations top 2 search engines.

Types of Service

Ask yourself what type of service will you provide. This can be a SIC Code or just a list of topics like builder, custom homes, building services...etc. A big difference exists between build, builder, building, re-modeling, and it needs to be listed.

You can convince yourself that your web site is successful  if you come up on page one for one city and one type of service. You can multiply the results by doing multiple services with multiple geography words. You can be tops in Google and not be in Yahoo at all and miss hundreds of thousands of new business opportunities.

One of our clients Hadco is Southeast US based and has no offices in Charlotte. The home office web site doesn't take into consideration all of the hot geographic areas. We do and it drives local business to this high end appliance distributor for Viking.

 

Meta Tags

Most web sites have a compelling Title Tag and a few small sentences of search engine key words, but miss the boat on 80% of the proper content needed.

We take geographic and types of services words and write a Meta Tag header for all of our pages specific to that client. This means that we have hundreds of thousands of key words in our web site for our clients.

Most web sites if they where in school would flunk this important test. This is the area we like to share with each of our clients so that they come out on top.

The Best 5 Images

One of the most important aspects of the design for SEO impact is images. Today Google and Yahoo has a whole process with finding web sites based on images alone. Within the next 12 months this will expand to a new level. This means that you first must visually capture the correct images and then title it so that Google can see it by name.

Most web sites have not totally thought through it's images and it visually stops the viewer from progressing deeper into the web site.

The next problem is that the webmaster 99.9% of the time has no sales or marketing knowledge. This means that he codes the images as image123 or something equally as non important to what the subject is.

This means that Google sees a name that doesn't relate to the image.
